Abstract
Many methods are clinically available for studying immune function in elderly patients with immunologic disease. The selection of tests should be based on clinical evaluation of the patient, with special emphasis on past immunologic responsiveness, past exposure, and concurrent factors known to alter immunity. A review of specific physiologic systems can be especially meaningful in these patients. Keywords
