The Uneven Distribution of Heliothis Obsoleta (Fabricius) on Cotton in Texas

Abstract

Some of the possible causes for the uneven distribution of Heliothis Obsoleta on cotton are briefly considered. These are rainfall, soil, the possible attraction of the moths to cotton plants because of an increased secretion of nectar in certain localities, or their possible attraction to cotton covered with honey-dew.
