Abstract
THE EFFECTS of exercise-based cardiac rehabilitation on measurable health outcomes in coronary patients, including morbidity and mortality, exercise capacity, symptoms, and coronary risk factors, have been studied intensively.1-4 However, despite the fact that coronary heart disease is a major cause of premature disability and of disability in the elderly,5,6 there has been little study of the effect of cardiac rehabilitation on measures of physical functioning. Keywords
