Abstract
Simultaneous recordings were obtained of responses to light flash from 3 cortical points and from retina, or from geniculate and retina, in the anesthetized cat. The light was variable with respect to color (blue, green, yellow, red) and intensity. Comparison of latencies at geniculate and at cortex, at intensities which gave retinal responses to equal amplitude, suggested that the transmission time between geniculate and cortex differed according to wave length of the stimulating light: shortest for red, longer for yellow and longest for blue and green stimuli.
