Abstract
In a previous paper, the quantum‐mechanical scattering amplitudes and collision cross sections of loaded spheres were obtained as power series in δ/σ, where σ is the diameter of the sphere and δ is the amount by which the center of mass is displaced from the geometrical center, and the coefficients of the zero, first, and second powers of δ/σ were evaluated explicitly. These results are used to obtain the classical limit of the relaxation time and the coefficients of shear viscosity, thermal conductivity, and diffusion. The results are found to agree with results obtained by purely classical methods. Keywords
