Abstract
A study was made of sexual dysfunction in 367 cases of adenomas of the pituitary. Dysfunction, as shown by irregularity and cessation of menstruation in the [female], and by loss of libido or testicular atrophy in the [male] occurred only when the sella turcica was much enlarged. Dysfunction was probably due solely to the compression of the basophil cells, since there was no difference in this respect between chromophobic and acidophilic adenomas. Normal menstruation was resumed and pregnancy occurred in a few cases after operation with radical extirpation of the adenoma. This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
