Abstract
Rumex patientia plants grown out-of-doors were covered with ventilated, light-tight tin boxes fitted with glass ray filters, and % transmissions of daylight by these filters was calculated by comparing their light transmission values with the intensity of daylight. No stomatal opening was observed in wave lengths longer than 690 m[mu]. All other regions of the visible spectrum (except the violet) seem to be equally effective. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
