Uricase: Localization in Hepatic Microbodies

Abstract
Microbodies of rat hepatic cells and hepatomas contain a crystalloid with the same structural characteristics as crystals of purified uricase, when viewed by electron microscopy. We conclude that crystalline uricase is located within hepatic microbodies.Keywords
