The Production of Mutations by Ultra-Violet Light

Abstract
Comparison of strains of virus from Maryland and South Dakota showed them so far unrelated that a serum effective against one did not neutralize the other, as tested on guinea pigs. Animals immune to one virus were typically killed by inoculation with the other. In general, the disease due to the Maryland virus in guinea pigs is more acute than that due to the South Dakota strain.
