CARDIAC ARREST

Abstract
In prevention and treatment of cardiac arrest, adequate blood oxygenation and maintenance of circulating blood volume are the essential factors. It is possible that many instances of cardiac arrest could be prevented if proper precautions were maintained. The grave consequences of the combination of anoxia and a high level of circulating epinephrine on cardiac function can be produced both in the operating room and the laboratory.
