Abstract
Coupled integral equations linking the direct and exchange (rearrangement) K operators are proposed in analogy to similar ones linking the direct and exchange T operators derived in this paper. It is shown that these pairs of coupled equations lead to the damping equation which was used in previous work on identical-particle scattering and which expresses the unitarity condition.
