An Opening Snap Recorded in a Case of Tumor of the Left Atrium

Abstract
MYXOMA of the left atrium has been described, classically, as giving rise to signs of mitral stenosis, as well as congestive heart failure and arrhythmias, and often presenting as syncopal attacks or sudden death. More than 100 cases have been reported, the largest group clinically resembling mitral stenosis.In 1931 Ludwig1 collected from the literature 21 cases that showed the murmurs of mitral stenosis.
