Dithiocarbamato derivatives of allyl molybdenum nitrosyls

Abstract

[(η⁵-C₅H₅)Mo(NO)(CO)₂] treated with C₃H₅Br^–AgPF₆ gave [(η-C₅H₅)Mo(NO)(CO)(η³-C₃H₅)][PF₆] which then gave with I^–, BH₄ ^–, and (S₂CNMe₂)^–, [(η⁵-C₅H₅)Mo(NO)(η³-C₃H₅)I], [(η⁵-C₅H₅)Mo(NO)(CO)(H₂C:CHMe)] and [(η⁵-C₅H₅)Mo(NO)(CO)-{η²-H₂C:CHCH₂SC(:S)NMe₂}] respectively; the structures of the latter and of [(η⁵-C₅H₅)Mo(NO)(H₂CCH:CH₂)(η²-S₂CNMe₂)], obtained from [(η⁵-C₅H₅)Mo(NO)(η³-C₃H₅)I] and (S₂CNMe₂)^–, were established by X-ray crystallography.
