Abstract
The spin-orbit interaction is studied for light and heavy nuclei in the Glauber model. A simple approximate formula for the spin amplitude is derived. The authors calculate the differential cross sections and polarisations for a number of nuclei and fit the radius and spin parameters to experimental data. Keywords
