Penetration of Low-Energy Protons through Thin Films

Abstract
Protons of energy 10–30 keV impinged on free‐standing films of Au, Er2O3, and Sc2O3 of thickness 150–650 Å. Results are reported of the stopping power, energy, and angular spread of the transmitted beam. Stopping power results obtained and theoretical predictions are only in qualitative agreement.Keywords
