Abstract
Reduced Rydberg—Klein—Rees—Vanderslice potential curves were approximated by the reduced Hulburt—Hirschfelder function for a series of diatomic molecules to obtain a qualitative test on the behavior of the ground‐state reduced potential curves. The results seem to confirm unequivocally that the regularities previously observed in studying reduced potential curves are of general validity. Possible applications of the reduced‐potential‐curve method are briefly outlined. Keywords
