Electrostatic Generator Operating Under High Air Pressure—Operational Experience and Accessory Apparatus

Abstract
A description is given of experience gained in operation of the Wisconsin electrostatic generator with particular reference to the use of CCl4 and CCl2 F2 and to the problem of the fire hazard. Improvements in the charging belt system and the accelerating tube are discussed; and generator equipment, including the generating voltmeter, the voltage stabilizer and the ion source, is described.
