Abstract
Disseminated encephalomyelitis could be readily produced in W-Swiss mice by means of intramusc. injn. of normal mouse-brain tissue mixed with heavy liquid petrolatum and autoclaved virulent tubercle bacilli; the latter materials were those used as "adjuvants" by Freund and McDermott. The signs and lesions in the exptl. disease generally resembled those found previously by others in induced disseminated or allergic encephalomyelitis in monkeys, rabbits and guinea pigs. Keywords
