Abstract
Line-widths and relaxation times in magnetic resonance are discussed via a random walk model which is derived by a simple argument. Using the result, various topics in nuclear resonance and in conduction-electron spin resonance are discussed. The physical basis for the effect of motion in narrowing resonance lines is clearly evident, and a simple picture presented of the electron relaxation processes analyzed by Overhauser. Keywords
