INTRACRANIAL CALCIFICATION IN THE CONGENITAL RUBELLA SYNDROME

Abstract
Intracranial calcification in the congenital rubella syndrome, which has previously been demonstrated histologically, is reported roentgenographically and shown on skull roentgenograms at 1 day and again at 1 year of age, in a well documented case exhibiting other common manifestations of the syndrome. This finding further expands the concept of the lack of specificity of roentgenographic manifestations in neonatal viral disease.
