Effect of Topically Applied Stannous Chlorofluoride on the Dental Caries Experience in Children

Abstract

In a group of approximately 800 children, half of which were treated with 1% sodium fluoride, the other half with 4% stannous chlorofluoride, there was a reduction of new carious areas in the 2nd group by 85% more than the 1st group within a period of 12 months.
