Abstract
Synthesis of lipids by human leucocytes in vitro has been demonstrated; the amount of synthesis is sufficient to account for all the lipid synthesized by whole blood. It is probable that all earlier reports of lipid synthesis by erythro-cytes were due to leucocyte contamination. Keywords
