Selenium-dependent glutathione peroxidase-GI is a major glutathione peroxidase activity in the mucosal epithelium of rodent intestine1Portions of this work were presented in the Selenium II minisymposia at Experimental Biology '96. Preliminary accounts of this work appear in the proceedings volumes of the Sixth International Symposium on Selenium in Biology and Medicine (ISSBM, 1996) and The Japanese Society of Chromatography (1996).1
