Abstract
Presentation of CaseA seventy-two-year-old man entered the hospital because of dyspnea.He had felt well all his life and had never been examined by a physician. Four days before admission a sharp substernal pain and dyspnea developed while he was walking; the pain was aggravated by deep breathing and by coughing. On the following day he began to cough up blood-tinged sputum. The pain in the chest disappeared during the ensuing twenty-four hours. On the evening of admission the dyspnea increased, and he was brought to the Emergency Ward.There was no history of smoking or ingestion of alcohol. . . .
