Abstract
Expts. with living algae by means of the Allison magneto-optic apparatus indicated that light was an important factor in the reduction of nitrate to nitrite within the cell, that the presence of phosphate in the culture media increased the rate at which the nitrite and formaldehyde were formed, and that some of the nitrite and formaldehyde probably combine with each other. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
