Abstract
Goal-directed behavior affects all aspects of society, but unraveling which brain areas are responsible remains a challenge. In their Perspective, Richmond and colleagues discuss new work ( Matsumoto et al.) showing that the lateral and medial prefrontal cortex of monkey brain controls several different aspects of goal-directed behavior.Keywords
