A simple, efficient synthesis of vinyl β-D-glucopyranosides

Abstract

Reaction of tetra-O-acetyl-α-D-glucopyranosyl bromide with α-mercuriated carbonyl compounds provides simple and efficient access to acetylated vinyl and substituted vinyl β-D-glucopyranosides.
