Phylogeny of Lemurs, Galagos and Lorises

Abstract
Morphological evidence derived from the basicranium permits a high probability inference that cheirogaline lemurs, derived from lemurines, gave rise to the lorisid primates either in Africa or Asia. This conclusion is in harmony with other evidence known for both extinct and extant strepsirhines. Both cheirogaline lemurids and lorisids share advanced strep-sirhine rather than primitive primate traits.
