Abstract
The Se2 B 3Σ−u→X 3Σ−g emission produced by OCSe photolysis in the vacuum ultraviolet is due to the reaction of Se(4 1S0) with OCSe. The decay of this emission has been analyzed to give rate coefficients for removal of Se(4 1S0) by a number of simple gases. Half‐quenching pressures for Se2 B 3Σ−u have also been determined. A comparison is made with removal rate coefficients for S(3 1S0) and O(2 1S0).Keywords
