Abstract
The temperature dependences of anisotropy and magnetization of iron are extracted from measurements of the field dependence of the ac susceptibility in [111] and [100] oriented iron whiskers. To do this the demagnetizing field is calculated taking into account the effects of anisotropy. The temperature range covered is from room temperature to within 0.5 deg of the Curie temperature. Keywords
