Phenylketonuria. Mass screening of newborns in Ireland.

Abstract
A nation-wide screening"of newborns for phenylketonuria was in operation since Feb., 1966. During the 1st 16 months of testing, an estimated 72% of the children born in the State were tested during the 1st week of life, and 14 cases of phenylketonuria were encountered, a frequency of 1 in 4490.This publication has 17 references indexed in Scilit:
