Numerical Solutions for Two-dimensional Annular Electrochemical Machining Problems

Abstract
Numerical solutions are obtained for a quasi-steady model of the electrochemcial machining process for two-dimensional problems with the electrodes being represented by closed curves, one inside the other. The accuracy of the procedure is checked by the solutions obtained by it for a particular case with a perturbation solution. The two solutions agree well. The applicability of the numerical procedure is indicated by presenting results which show the making of a notch in a circular cylinder.
