Abstract
Digital vessels removed by biopsy from 7 patients with rheumatoid arthritis were examined for the presence of rheumatoid factor by immunofluorescent techniques. Rheumatoid factor was not found within the thickened intima of these vessels, although it was readily demonstrated in lymph nodes from sero-positive rheumatoid patients, where it was seen in plasma cells, in germinal centers, and upon the surface of vascular endothelium and blood elements. This publication has 20 references indexed in Scilit:
