Treatment of Neutron-Proton Pairing Correlations

Abstract
The short-range correlation between neutrons and protons in the configuration is discussed in the BCS approximation. The interaction is assumed to exist only in the and state of two nucleons. The ground- and excited-state energies are calculated and compared with the exact values.
