Ulteriori indagini sul pigmento rosso degli occhi diDrosophila melanogasterMeig

Abstract
The 2-amino-i-hydroxypteridin-6-carboxylic acid is identified as the fluorescent product obtained by U. V. ray photodissociation of the red ocular pigment formed in Drosophila melanogaster. This result is discussed in connection with the biological relationship already known to exist between the red and yellow pigment of Drosophila eye.
