Abstract
The literature on platybasia (impressio basilaris cranii; basilar impression; basilar in-vagination), in which condition the "basal angle" formed by lines through the spenoidal planum and clivus is greater than the normal 135-140[degree], is reviewed. A case of this pathological-anatomical condition is described.Keywords
