Abstract
Cytophaga albogilva, C. deprimata, and Sporocytophaga congregata, isolated from soil, exhibit more physiol. versatility than the spp. hitherto recognized. Under laboratory conditions none of the organisms attack cellulose, and all utilize a wide range of C sources. Revision of the key to the genus Cytophaga was necessary to permit the inclusion of the 2 spp. of C. described. This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
