Thermal conductivity of hydrogen-helium gas mixtures

Abstract
The thermal conductivity of hydrogen-helium gas mixtures has been measured by the thick-wire variant of the hot-wire method over the temperature range from -183 to 200°C. The results confirm the recently reported appearance of a minimum in the plot of conductivity against composition. An attempt has been made to explain the anomaly as due to relaxation effects in the hydrogen and helium interactions.
