Further Observations on Induced Asthma and Bronchial Hyposensitization

Abstract

72 patients were desensitized by aerolization of allergenic extracts. In 50% tolerance increased, but only 27% showed definite clinical improvement. Some improvement occurred in 86%. Little or no increase in tolerance was observed in those sensitive to house dust. The treatment seems to be useful only in monovalent allergies. The minimum time between treatments should be 3-4 days.
