Abstract
The C + OCS → CS + CO reaction has been investigated in a pulsed crossed supersonic molecular beam experiment at a centre-of-mass kinetic energy of 0.32 eV. CS radicals, produced in both the a 3Πr and X 1Σ+ states, have been detected by laser-induced fluorescence (LIF). A newly observed CS transition, A 1Π–a 3Πr, is also reported. Comparison of relative LIF intensities following CS(a 3Πr) and CS(X 1Σ+) excitation, shows that the reaction pathway producing CS(a 3Πr)+ CO(X 1Σ+) is highly efficient. This publication has 7 references indexed in Scilit:
