The preasymptotic form of the RKKY interaction in Heusler alloys

Abstract
The effect of including a finite ionic spin distribution on the preasymptotic form of the RKKY exchange interaction is investigated. For a simple model it is found that the short-range interactions in some Heusler alloys are all positive, in agreement with experiment.Keywords
