Abstract
To determine the wavelength dependence of the nonlinear susceptibility, measurements of second-harmonic generation have been made in the region of the first exciton absorption band in CuCl at 20°K. Results show a resonance behavior in the nonlinear susceptibility which is fitted by a theoretical curve. Keywords
