Abstract
The experimental ion-yield curve for photoionization of atomic chlorine from the ionization threshold (∼ 956.1 Å) to 750 Å is reported. Three autoionizing series converging to the ionic state and two series converging to the state are observed. The results are compared to existing many-body calculations.
