Plasmadiagnostik durch nichtlineare Resonanzwinkelstreuung

Abstract
Nonlinear scattered light with twice the frequency of the incident beam is in phase with the mechanism by which it is produced for some particular angle of emission, and hence has a resonant character in that direction. The angle is a function of the electron density in the plasma. The intensity and the angular width of the resonant beam are discussed. The experimental application to present laboratory plasmas may be practicable, when strong lasers are developed in the infrared region.
