Abstract
• A new technique evaluates microcirculation in the different parts of the cochlea. It is a synthesis of two previously known methods—the microsphere method and the soft surface-specimen method. We studied the cochlear blood flow in ten albino rabbits using nonradioactive microspheres. The local distribution of microspheres in the cochlea was determined and the total cochlear blood flow calculated.
