Abstract
The magnetic susceptibility of high-purity single-crystal -uranium has been measured from 4 to 300°K. A different temperature dependence was observed in each of the three principal crystallographic axes, and changes in slope were also noted below 40°K. The results are discussed in terms of localization of electrons, spin-density waves, or Brillouin-zone—Fermi-surface interplay.
