Abstract
Serial changes in 24-hour creatinine clearance were determined in 10 healthy women during late pregnancy and after the puerperium. A decrease occurred in all subjects during the six weeks preceding delivery, so that mean values for the last three weeks of pregnancy did not differ from the non-pregnant mean. Possible reasons for this phenomenon and its clinical implications are discussed. Keywords
