The inhibitory effect of abscisic acid (ABA) on barley endosperm, with a view to its possible application as a biological method of ABA determination, was studied. The amount of reducing substances is inversely proportional to the logarithm of ABA concentration. The concentration range 10−7−5.17μ 10−7 M has a 95% probability of covering 50% of inhibition.
