Abstract
By using [8-14C]-N6-(Δ2-isopentenyl)adenosine as a substrate, we detected the presence of enzyme activity in a crude extract of tobacco tissue that converts this cytokinin into adenosine. The extract also contains strong hydrolase activity that converts adenosine to adenine. Keywords
