Abstract
Experiments are described in which the dorsal column pathway and the lateral cutaneous pathway were cut bilaterally in the spinal cord in nembutalized cats. Cortical microelectrode and surface recordings revealed a release of slow waves strictly localized to those cortical areas representing the peripheral fields below the level of the lesion. Keywords
